Staffing Update:

Daniel Englert has been hired to serve as a Math Tutor grades 4 and 5 for the AMPACT (Math Corp) position. This has been an open position and we are pleased to bring in another interventionist for our students.

Mr. Sage (Literacy Intervention) has been offered a new supervisor position with AMPACT Reading Corp/Math Corp. Although Mr. Sage will be leaving his current teaching position, we hope to continue to see him from time to time. This position is currently posted. I want to thank Mr. Sage for all of his knowledge and oversight in making sure students received literacy interventions over the years.

Liam (Special Education Assistant) has been offered a new position in another district. I want to thank Liam for all his service to the students in both our DCD program and Resource program. This position is also currently posted.

Holly (Special Education Assistant) has also decided to leave her position. Holly worked in our DCD program for several years after first becoming a volunteer at Dowling. Ms. Alison has joined the Dowling team to support our students in the DCD program. Welcome to Ms. Alison (Fun Fact- we now have 3 staff with the name Alison or Allison)!

From Mr. Nick, Pool Teacher

Swimming has been on hold until we can get our new washer installed. We just learned this will happen over winter break. The washer is essential to provide clean swimsuits and towels so that all students can participate. Once the washer is back up and running, a notice will be sent out that swimming can resume.

After winter break, please help your student be prepared for pool class by bringing their swimsuit and towel. After swim class, these items should go home to be washed to be ready for the next class. Our extra swimsuits and towels should be reserved for students who do not have these items at home or do not have access to laundry facilities. Thank you!
