Student Co-curricular Activities

Dowling students have the opportunity to participate in several co-curricular activities. These are activities that typically happen during the school day that complement or mirror what students are learning in the classroom.

School Safety Patrol - All 4th and 5th grade students participate in end of day activities that safely lead our students to their designated places or crossing guard duty.

If you have questions about safety patrol, please reach out to 5th grade teacher Jens Holmboe, jens.holmboe@mpls.k12.mn.us

Affinity Groups - Native Group, Student Identity Group, Black Student Group

Student Guides - 5th grade students have the opportunity to be trained to give parent and new student tours throughout the school year. If your student is interested, please advise them to reach out to their classroom teacher.

Questions about student guides or affinity groups should be directed to our social worker, Marisa Gustafson, marisa.gustafson@mpls.k12.mn.us

Reading Buddies - 4th and 5th grade students pair with Kindergarten and 1st grade students to read together once a week.
