This year in music we will be learning musical concepts through singing, playing instruments, moving, listening, and improvising/composing. We cover a huge variety of musical styles and musicians so please send me suggestions if you have a favorite! Also, this is the third year we have 5th grade Band!

I have been a licensed School Librarian/ Media Teacher for over 25 years. I attended the University of St. Thomas, the Sorbonne (University of Paris) and the University of North Carolina-Chapel Hill. I love teaching students about the research process or helping them find a book that sparks their interest in something new. I also love sharing my writing experience as a published author. Learning is limitless in Library Media class!
Hello. My name is Kristen Melby and I am the Environmental Educator at Dowling School. Your student can call me Ms. Kristen or Kristen.
A few things about me-I have a 5th grade child who goes to Dowling. We love to mountain bike and play outside. We also love to read (especially in a hammock)! I worked on an organic farm for over 10 years and continue to enjoy planting, weeding (sometimes), harvesting, and EATING the fresh food.

Welcome to P.E and Pool with Paul. I am structured and focused on student learning. I believe in learning lifetime activities that extend beyond school. This year Physical education for 1st thru 5th, will be 1 day in the gym and 1 day in the pool. Kindergarten: I will always see you in the Gym.
