District Illness Policy

If you have a child home due to illness, you must call into the school each day they are home. You can reach the attendance line at 612-668-4415.

Minneapolis Public Schools policy states:

ALL STUDENTS NEED TO STAY HOME FOR 24 HOURS AFTER VOMITING, EVEN IF THEY ARE FEELING BETTER.   ALSO, IF YOUR STUDENT HAS A FEVER OVER 100 DEGREES, THEY NEED TO STAY HOME UNTIL THEY ARE FEVER-FREE FOR 24 HOURS WITHOUT THE USE OF FEVER-REDUCING MEDICINE.

There are no exceptions to this policy. Even if your student is feeling better or wants to come to school, they need to stay home. This is to protect all of our students from contagious illnesses.
